About Toxic Travel
We don't sell holidays.
We open worlds.
Toxic Travel builds journeys the way films are made — location by location, frame by frame. No copy-paste packages, no crowded checklists. Just routes designed around what a place actually feels like.
Every journey is mapped by people who have walked it, shot it and slept in it. The world is the protagonist. You are the story.

Asia

The Japan you don't
see on postcards
Tokyo
Neon rivers, quiet shrines, midnight ramen. A city that never repeats itself.
Kyoto
Temples, hidden alleys and centuries of tradition folded into wooden streets.
Mount Fuji
The perfect cone above five lakes. Best met at dawn, in silence.
Japanese Alps
Ridgelines above the clouds and trails that empty your head completely.
Okinawa
Coral water, slow islands, a Japan that moves at the speed of tide.

Why Asia
Older than maps,
newer than tomorrow
Monasteries above the clouds, markets that wake before the sun, coastlines that have never heard of hurry. Asia is not one journey — it is a lifetime of them.

Kyoto
Japan
- Fly to Osaka / Tokyo
- Shinkansen · 2 h 10 m from Tokyo
- Best season · April – June
- Recommended · 4–6 days
Chapter 01 · The Destination

A thousand years,
still awake
Kyoto was Japan's capital for over a millennium — and it never quite handed back the keys. Seventeen World Heritage sites, two thousand temples, and wooden alleys where the loudest sound is your own footsteps.
Come for the icons. Stay for the quiet in between.
Chapter 02 · Why Go

Living temples
Not museums — working shrines where morning bells still set the pace.

The tea hour
One bowl of matcha, whisked by hand, and time politely slows down.

Wooden streets
Machiya lanes at dusk, lanterns waking one by one.
Chapter 03 · The Journey
Ten thousand gates
Fushimi Inari before the crowds — vermilion tunnels climbing the mountain in morning light.

Into the green
Arashiyama's bamboo grove, a river the color of jade, and monkeys with a better view than most hotels.

The wooden balcony
Kiyomizu-dera at golden hour — the whole city laid out beneath a temple on stilts.

Chapter 01 · The Destination

The mountain
that watches back
Fuji-san is visible from a hundred kilometers away, yet reveals itself only when it chooses — usually at dawn, above a skin of lake fog. Five lakes circle its base; each one holds a different reflection.
You don't conquer this mountain. You keep it company.
